Tweet When deciding what to write for this series, sexting made its way onto the table pretty quickly. Having been out of the dating scene since sexting made its bold debut, my team and I took it to the streets — the virtual streets, that is — to see where people or rather their thumbs stand when it comes to sexting. We posted on Facebook asking for personal opinions on sexting. A lot of people were curious how to keep the sexting, well…sexy in a long-term relationship.

And many singles were wrestling with rather or not sexting was right for them. How do married couples or long term couples get over the expected?

These days, if you’re single, it’s pretty hard to avoid online dating. Most people don’t meet in bars and pubs anymore, instead opting for online dating sites like Badults.

You can still enjoy listening to music in the open air and queuing for hours to buy a burger, but if it all gets too much you can decamp to the nearest gastropub to use the loos or even just get the bus home. Trust us, if your first festival is a three-day world music fest in the most remote and wet part of Wales then it will be your last festival, too. This is about fun not hardship, so pack too many baby wipes, a wind-up mobile phone charger and enough bottled water to last you through a nuclear war.

One year at Reading it rained so relentlessly that the Red Cross handed out those foil blankets usually seen at the end of the London Marathon, by which point all fashion finesse was well and truly drowned. Do ignore the organisers advice and take a car. And you can always live in your vehicle if the weather turns soggy. Do have a partner in crime. You can encourage each other to try new things, and then happily ditch the music, the comedy tent and the healing field in favour of finding a shady spot to have an impromptu picnic and put the world to rights — an essential festival experience.

Outdoor shindigs can bring out the best and worst in people. That friend with borderline obsessive-compulsive disorder who normally takes half an hour to order a pizza may well freak out about onsite hygiene standards and become a grade-A pain in the butt for the whole weekend.
